Kyle is a Toronto-based playwright with Cape Breton roots. He is a graduate of Cape Breton University. Writing credits include: Clunk (Acadia Theatre Company), Uncertain (Atlantic Fringe Festival); All My Love, Walter, Her Body, and I Miss, Not Just, Your Eyes (Elizabeth Boardmore Festival of One-Act Plays) Something for My Grandparents (Cape Breton Stage Company).
Virginia Cardinal
Stage Manager - My Very Own Normal Family, Smallpox in the Blankets, Springsteen Wet, and Whipped Dream
Virginia Cardinal is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, having completed a double major of English and Production and Design at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies (CDTPS). Recent theatre credits include: Stage Manager: Servant of Two Masters (New Faces, New College), Lighting and Set Designer: Us and Them (CDTPS), Stage Manager: Odds and Ends Festival of Short Plays (Newborn Theatre), Stage Manager: Cyrano de Bergerac (Seventh Method Productions), Costume Designer: The Rules (CDTPS), Stage Manager: Eva Hesse: Eccentric Abstraction (CDTPS).
She is thrilled to be involved in Newborn Theatre's Odds and Ends Festival yet again and to build on the experience she had last summer with them. Thanks to her family for their endless love, support and encouragement.

Erica Causi
Director - Smallpox in the Blankets
Erica has been involved in multiple theatre communities, form Orangeville to Newmarket and slowly making her mark into Toronto. She has been performing in the small community theatre's since she was eleven years old, but throughout high school she was always placed as behind the scenes. Slowly her experience is being transformed from performing to behind the scenes. She found her calling from her first year at York University in the Theatre Program. Erica Will is going into second year as a production major. This will be her first play as director, but has been in various positions within the production of theatre.
Rion Chow
Stage Manager - Concrete Rose
Rion is currently a student at the University of Toronto studying at the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies. He is pursuing a specialist in performance and production and is in love with physical theatre that challenges both audience and performer to broaden their vocabulary of theatre. Working on the Odds and Ends Fest has been an enlightening experience and he hopes that he will get the chance to collaborate with the same group of theatre lovers and creators again.
Conran Cosgrove
Technical Director
Conran is very excited to work with the Odds and Ends Festival again in 2013! Conran is a full time undergraduate history student at St. Mike's, U of T and an avid lover of music, theatre and the arts. Some of his most recent credits include "X", a production by the Silhouettes Dance Company, and the highly acclaimed St. Mike's production of Sweeny Todd (nominated for best lighting). He would like to extend a huge thank you to Rachel Ganz for sticking by him and offer such great oppertunities to work with young playwrights and being a part of the magic that comes along with the Odds and Ends Festival. Conran would also like to thank his family and all those who have supported his work at U of T, Hart House, and elsewhere.
Rachel Ganz
Artistic Director/Director - Whipped Dream
Rachel is a Toronto-based playwright as well as the artistic director and co-founder of Newborn Theatre. Last year she co-created and produced The Odds and Ends Festival: A Festival of Shorts by Young Playwrights. Other production credits include The Long Run (2012) and this year's Odds and Ends. She will be attending the playwriting program at The National Theatre School of Canada in September. Writing Credits include: The Long Run (Newborn Theatre), Plasterface (Newborn Theatre), Rhyme Reason or Otherwise (Hart House Players), Teach Me (Newborn Theatre), Manawi (Children’s Theatre Project), Benji Boy (Inspirato)
Kyle Lima
FOH Manager
A recent Media studies graduate from University of Toronto, Kyle has done FOH work for Drayton Entertainment, Factory Theatre, TPM and is currently a FOH Manager at YPT. Kyle hopes to expand his arts administrative skills by helping organize Newborn into an exceptional event!
Julian Munds
Director - Springsteen Wet
Julian Munds is proud to be a part of this show and share his enjoyment of “The Boss“ with Toronto. He is a budding young Director who owns and operates his own theatre company: Snobbish Theatre. Some of his favourite directing credits include The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Threepenny Opera with Riesende B and Endgame with Flaugetz Theatre. Julian is also an actor who has most recently been seen as Juror# 7 in Twelve Angry Men at The Rose Theatre Brampton. Angela Sun
Director - My Very Own Normal Family
Angela Sun is a Toronto-based performer who studies Political Science at the University of Toronto. She has performed in such renowned festivals as the Paprika Festival, the SummerWorks Theatre Festival, and the Toronto Fringe Festival. Select credits include: Odyssey: The Musical, Shazam! or Schism on, Eternity, and Tonight's Special (Victoria College Drama Society); Birth Astride Grave (UC Follies); The Tempest (Trinity College Drama Society); The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, and H.M.S. Pinafore (The Vic Chorus); Show Us Your Bobs (The Bob Sketch Comedy Revue); The Vagina Monologues, and A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer (Hart House Social Justice Committee). She directed Plasterface for last year's Odds and Ends Festival and is excited to work with Newborn again. Upcoming performances include: Songs For A New World (UC Follies) and Whipped Dreams (Odds and Ends Festival).
Janneke Tenbroek
Wardrobe Director
Janneke is thrilled to be working with Newborn Theatre again. She has designed for NBT's Teach Me (2013) and The Long Run (2012) and was the Wardrobe Director for their Odds & Ends Festival last summer. After graduating from Ryerson's Performance Production program a few years ago, Janneke has been designing for Theatre and Fashion in Toronto as well as creating her own side projects in various media (graphic design, furniture design and photography).
William Wong
Director - Concrete Rose
William Wong is a recent graduate from the Drama Centre at the University of Toronto. Currently residing in Toronto, this is his second chance to director new work; the first time was in the Hart House Drama Festival for his own play. He'd like to thank all of his cast, Kyle, Rachel, and his one and only stage manager, Rion for giving him the opportunity to work in an environment he absolutely loves. He also thanks the playwright, LaDarrion Williams for writing such fresh new work for him to explore with.
